iconfinder.com is a resource that has the largest database of icons. At this very moment there are 984.138 20.080 icons and various compilations. As most of these services, Iconfinder can offer both free and paid premium icons. For a competent search it is enough to enter the item you search for in English.
During the search you can choose useful options by specifying the criteria of the icons you need. Select the desired format (any / vector), price (any, free, paid), license type, size of icons and background. At the top you can choose a style.
2. IconArchive
iconarchive.com is a more simple and visually outdated service, however its base consists of 590,918 icons and 2,443 compilations. Its distinctive feature is that there are only free website icons.

3. FindIcons
http://findicons.com/ has 475,500 icons and more than 2000 compilations. The distinctive feature of this service is a special online converter that can convert your image into any of 11 supported formats applying different transformations if necessary. This feature is available in the top menu, the Convert tab.
Otherwise, we can see the interface we are used to. All icons are free and available for download in just a few clicks. Ad units are a bit boring, but such projects need to get the money somehow ;)
Any website icons you saw on the above mentioned services are available for download in standard formats: PNG, ICO, ICNS, SVG.
