Google Forms is another excellent online tool that allows you to create different kinds of interviews, tests and questionnaires through its simple interface. All this is absolutely free, you just need a personal account on Google. The service will be useful both to ordinary freelancers and companies for gathering important information about their present or future employees.
Creating a Poll
Following the link (see above) and clicking the plus sign in the bottom righthand corner, we find the menu for creating the needed form:
Let us name our forms and come up with a test survey. Here we can see a few versions of responses. We shall leave all as it is (one version from the list). You can add a video or picture if necessary.
Checking the result. Once we have created a survey, we need to copy the link from our browser's address bar and open it in any other browser where we are not logged in with our Google account. We pass our test there, and return to the browser in which the survey was created. On clicking "Answers" we can see the final summary.
Dead easy, isn't it? ;)
Placing the Poll on Our Website
Just click the "Send" button and go to the tab with the icon "< >". If necessary, edit the poll frame and check its width and height. Copy the code and paste it in the appropriate place on the site. That's it. Now, anyone who visits your site will be able to participate in the poll.
We have created the simplest poll consisting of the two possible answers. However, digging in the service's settings, we can see a lot of useful things that can be added if desired: various options of giving replies, the 10-point rating scale, the opportunity of inserting images and videos from YouTube, as well as the option of inserting a question with a date/time field.
Downloading the Data Collected
The collected data can be easily exported into csv table by clicking on the three dots in the top righthand corner:
Appearance
This service allows you to upload background images for polls or just set the background colour you like. In the store of Google Forms there are plenty of ready-made themes for the background:
Google Forms definitely have a decent functionality which will be useful for most users of IQSites platforms!
